Beginner's guide to Video Games.

Hi, welcome back to my blog. Today we will be discussing how to get into gaming/video games.

Getting into video games is very easy to do and fun at the same time. The first thing you want to do when it comes to playing video games is to determine what you want to play games on, whether it be a console, PC, or any other device you would like to choose from. After you figure out what platform you want to play games on, you will figure out what kind of games you are interested in playing. Finding a game you will like should be very easy in today's age of video games due to how many videogames and genres have been made since video games were made, If you like militaristic games or FPS's, you might want to consider games such as Call of duty, Battlefield, or Halo. If you like racing games, you might want to try out Forza. You can always watch videos on YouTube about various games that review or just show off the game, and you can also read review ratings on games which could help you decide if you want to play that certain video game or not.  The next step is to make friends in the gaming community so you can have fun moments or do various online activities with other people who enjoy the same games that you do. Some of the best moments that I have had while playing games have been when I am playing them with friends.

Getting into Video games is not a hard thing to do. The hardest part when it comes to video games is that it can be a rather pricey hobby at times, like when a new console comes out, a new graphics card drops for PCs, or a new game/DLC comes out that you want. Another good thing about video games is that you are not forced to play online. There are thousands of single player video games that offer a good narrative story or just fun mechanics for people to enjoy. Some good single player games that you could get into would be the Fallout series, the Mass Effect series, or The Last of Us 1 and 2.

There are not many things required of you when you start playing video games except maybe a stable internet connection if you primarily play online games, but other than that, I believe that you could not really go wrong with how you approach getting into video games since it is really a "do at your own pace" type of hobby.
